New for May 2008!

SSD120-(XX)N Nano

The newest encoder from Trans-Cal Industries.

EET-200 Encoder Emulator and Test Set

End the shotgun approach to troubleshooting and reduce the time spent in misdiagnosing altitude encoder/transponder problems. TRANS-CAL INDUSTRIES’ EET-200 has a built in vacuum system and offers the avionics technician an inexpensive diagnostic tool for altitude encoder/transponder troubleshooting.

Altitude Encoder/Digitizer Model D120-P2-T
This is the electromechanical altitude digitizer that started it all! Designed by Trans-Cal in 1970, the D120 has seen over 30 years of continuous service and going strong.

SSD120-(XX)A Solid State Altitude Digitizer Model Selector
30,000 to 42,000 Foot Models, Standard Operating Temperatures

The SSD120-(XX)A is our most popular unit, with virtually no warm up time the SSD-120-(XX)A Altitude encoder will provide standard "Grey Code" to the aircraft's mode C transponder.

SSD120-(XX)AE Solid State Altitude Digitizer Model Selector
30,000 to 42,000 Foot Models, Extended Operating Temperatures

The SSD120-(XX)AE is the perfect choice for the serious pilot who flies in extreme weather conditions. This unit has an operating temperature of -50 to 70+ and is conformal coated, making it ideal for high humidity conditions.  With virtually no warm up time the SSD-120-(XX)A Altitude encoder will provide standard "Grey Code" to the aircraft's mode C transponder.

SSD120-(XX)A-RS232C Solid Stat Alti930005rI.pdftude Digitizer

With virtually no warm up time the SSD-120-(XX)A-RS232C Altitude encoders with Serial Altitude Output provide standard "Grey Code" to the aircraft's mode C transponder, and two RS232 altitude data outputs with 10 foot resolution (Available with 1 ft. res. for use with SHADIN AMS-2000. Unit must be ordered with 1' res.) for use by GPS and Terrain Awareness Systems (TAWS). Each RS232 output is totally independent and can be programmed to transmit two different protocols at two different baud rates simultaneously. With models that provide altitude data from -1000 to 100,000 feet they can be installed in virtually any piston, turbine or jet aircraft.

SSD120-(XX) Solid State Altitude Digitizer Model Selector, (High Altitude)
50,000 to 80,000 Foot Models, Standard / Extended Operating Temperatures

85,000 to 100,000 Foot Models, Standard / Extended Operating Temperatures

Universal Altitude Serializer to RS232C "Interface Adapter" Model IA-RS232C-S
This model, converts the altitude data from "blind" encoders and encoding altimeters into an output conforming to the EIA RS232C Standard. Approved for use with Honeywell EGPWS.

ATS-400 Encoder Test Set  NEW!

The ATS-400 is Trans-Cal Industries most advanced test set, it is designed to test, display and simulate the output of Altitude Reporting Equipment, which conform to the ICAO Standard for SSR Pressure Altitude Transmission. The ATS-400 utilizes an advanced RISC microprocessor to display the output of these devices in both numeric and binary forms, with an input altitude data range covering the full ICAO code from –1000 to +126,000 feet. The ATS-400 will also display the output of altitude reporting devices that transmit data in a serial format. Serial altitude data input formats supported are RS232, RS422, RS485 and ARINC 429 Label 203. The ATS-400 may be interfaced with an IBM PC for cross-reference and 2-way data communication if required. The ATS-400 can also function in a simulate mode providing altitude data outputs on the ICAO simulate port and RS232 port only. In this mode the test set will output altitude data beginning at –1000 feet, and then climb at 6000’/min. to 126,000 feet.

IA-RS232C-R NEW!
Remote slave digitizer. This device converts serial altitude data from altitude encoders to ARINC (Gillham Grey Code) as well as providing two additional serial altitude ports conforming to the TAI/EIA RS232D standard.
